Had a very nice stay, the hotel is good looking and beautiful quiet.
The location was particularly good, for example, a historical palace was approx 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel. The room was contemporary and good-sized with safe for my safety. Excellent service from all the pretty friendly staff that I interacted with👍

Very nice building and the grandeur of a exclusive hotel. Nice breakfast, great location. Very enjoyable.
First we had a room in the top floor which was very basic and poor, small bathroom, etc. But we got another room on request.

The atmosphere in the hotel was lovely and it had a very good breakfast.
Although the room was nice and the aircon worked, there was a nasty smell lingering in the room from the pipes in the toilet.

Not the best way to start our honeymoon.Had booked so called superior Poor standard of accomodation room we were allocated in annexe small and stuffy..Asked if any other rooms were available staff poorly trained and generally rude and unhelpful told that no duty manager was available until the following morning. Finally got a move to sister hotel nearby much better but still poor value for money.

Our room was well-appointed and air conditioned and had a delightful view, appreciated it. The breakfast was super and the roof top bar was a plus. We walked everywhere, the location was magnificent and wonderful, on excellent local restaurants...

We enjoy the quiet and ambience - have stayed here before.
Airconditioning not capable of getting the room temperature down to a comfortable level - we had to sleep on top of the bed with the windows open. No laundry facilities not even a pull out cord over the bath Fridge is too small and minimal mini bar No electric jug one particularly obnoxious staff member on reception who attempted to browbeat us into accepting the commitment made by another staff memmber earlier in the week regarding having to change rooms. Without this person (female) we would have evaluated the staff as excellent. Steel floor immediately outside the door leading to the pool was searingly hot during the afternoon burned the soles of our feet - needs a wooden floor mat

It is very interesting the way the hotel was structured within the cloister. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good (although not included) but could have better breads and pastries. Location was excellent and parking very convinient.
Breakfast was good but could have better and fresher breads. Some staff members were not very nice as others.

The reception staff were extremely helpful with maps and advice on what to do.
The bed was very old and extremely uncompfatable for the back. Pillows were too hard.

Great design, the mix of old and new. Great position within the city walls. Great garden and helpful staff (reccomended us a few great places to eat).
No internet signal in the room.

Pleasant and helpful staff and great location as not far from centre but not on a main busy street.
The room was very basic for four star. Quality of pillows and mattresses poor and furniture very cheap. The plumbing also poor standard but realise a very old building. Could be such a beautiful hotel as the grounds and garden and spaces are lovely but not made the best of what is there. Believe it has great potential with a bit of care and attention. Also have tea and coffee making facilities in teh room.

This hotel is full of character with fine architecture. We enjoyed the lovely rooftop pool and the friendly staff upgraded our room for my sister and me. The location was perfect for exploring Avignon's beautiful sights.
My kids wished there were larger family rooms to accommodate us all together.

We have had a lovely stay in Hotel Cloitre Saint Louis. The hotel is interesting and very pleasant in a quiet courtyard. Our room overlooking the courtyard was quiet, spacious and comfortable. It was very easy to walk to the main sites and convenient for buses connecting with the TGV station. The food we ate was excellent. Would we stay there again for our next trip to Avignon? - yes most definitely.
Three things to be aware of - (1) the swimming pool is seasonal and won't open before 1st May despite the weather being very warm in April, (2) for a 4 star hotel the choice of television programmes is very limited with only the specialist CNBC being available as an English Speaking channel, (3) breakfasts (though excellent) can be very busy with limited staff available - this can mean that things run out quickly and that they are not topped up efficiently, our advice - if eating breakfast at the hotel is to get there early!

The location to Avignon was excellent and the hotel is very charming as it is an ex monastery.
